The Ichihara Lakeside Museum created by Irobe Yoshiaki was awarded an ADC Award for its CI and ambient design. The Ichihara Lakeside Museum is an art museum located next to Lake Takataki in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture.
■ Irobe Yoshiaki: Completed a Master’s course at Tokyo University of the Arts before joining Nippon Design center in 2003. At present, he is director of the Irobe Design Institute and a part-time instructor at Tokyo University of the Arts. Recent projects include the VI and signage for the Ichihara Lakeside Museum, and package design for Hakutsuru Sake Brewing Co. He has received design awards from Japan and overseas including the Tokyo ADC Award, JAGDA Newcomer Award, SDA Grand Prize, and One Show Design Gold Pencil.
■ About the ADC Awards: This award is given to selected exceptional works each year in a wide range of genres including posters, newspaper, magazines, and television. The judges consist of all members of the Tokyo ADC.
