Tange by Tange

This book is composed of previously unpublished photos (contact prints) taken by Kenzo Tange – one of the top architects of Japan – over a period of 10 years beginning from 1949. With editorial design supervised by Kenya Hara and architect Waro Kishi, writing and editing by Saikaku Toyokawa, Tange’s markings on the contact prints, and focused photographic cuts, the book attempts to unlock the thinking of this great architect.
