Graphic Tools for Tokyo University of the Arts
VI/Experience
We designed the visual identity for Tokyo University of the Arts.
This visual identity features the symbol of the school, Acanthus, created in 1950 as well as calligraphy by the former president of the school.
Rather than use a layout that summarizes these two elements whose origins differ completely in time and purpose, our proposal included a diffusive system that arranges the two elements separately.
This is a design system that gracefully integrates these different elements and expresses their uniqueness.
