21st Century Rinpa School Posters

This is the announcement poster for an exhibition commemorating the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Rinpa School. 10 designers who are active on the frontlines of the industry competed to create posters that were inspired by the Rinpa School. The design shows the monkey from the Chinese zodiac travelling on the crest of a wave, presenting a calm appearance while also glorifying Japanese lyricism and the spirit which preserves the essence of the Rinpa School.
