Taketsuru Pure Malt

Package

Packaging design for Taketsuru Pure Malt, which bears the name of Masataka Taketsuru, the first person to make whisky in Japan. The label includes the name Taketsuru in bold calligraphy and a refined, original pattern based on the two characters in the name, take (bamboo) and tsuru (crane). The watermark-like pattern was added to a color reminiscent of the smooth, delicate flavor of whisky to convey the true depth of whisky.
