Yayoi Kusama Museum VI

We designed a visual identity inspired by the signature of avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama.
We developed everything from brochures and inaugural exhibition commemorative fliers to business cards and envelopes.
We paid careful attention to fine details, respecting Yayoi Kusama’s world and working to ensure her fans would also accept the visual identity.

We designed signage plans based on the logotype inspired by the signature of avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama.
Using distinctive pictograms, these signs were given consideration
so that visitors are able to intuitively understand the one-way path and smoothly move around the museum.

Utilizing elements from the visual identity and Kusama’s artwork, we developed packaging for products unique to the museum, staff T-shirts, and so on.
We focused our ingenuity on everything down to the finest details so that customers are able to become immersed in the world of Yayoi Kusama at every turn.
This includes shopping bags featuring dot patterns that allow anything placed inside to be Kusama-ified.

We focused on the reproducibility of the artwork and designed with proportions to make each and every piece stand out.
The cover features a rough, luxuriant material to which Yayoi Kusama’s work is affixed. Designed with black and silver foil and so on, this is a volume with a substantial presence.
