TAKAO 599 MUSEUM
Exhibition/Space
We worked on the planning and overall direction of this museum which is located in the foothills of Mt. Takao, a Tokyo mountain which rises to an elevation of 599 meters.
As the “entrance to curiosity” at Mt. Takao, this museum concentrates the attractions of the mountain in once place, including exhibits of multicolored plants sealed in acrylic, projection mapping on stuffed animal specimens, and introductions of the climbing routes. It creates a space that stimulates active thinking by the visitors.

We worked on the planning and overall direction of this museum which is located in the foothills of Mt. Takao, a Tokyo mountain which rises to an elevation of 599 meters.
NDC was responsible for all identification work including the facility name and logo proposal, the font and pictograms with organic nuances like a plant, the map, and quiz. We created a gentle face that is uniquely suited to a facility based on natural themes.

We worked on the planning and overall direction of this museum which is located in the foothills of Mt. Takao, a Tokyo mountain which rises to an elevation of 599 meters.
Based on the “Nature is Interesting” theme, we applied an original perspective to compile the vast amount of information which Mt. Takao contains, including the secrets of the creatures displayed at the museum, into approximately 300 pages. This book helps readers to discover a new side of Mt. Takao.

We designed packaging to sell Takao Violets and Cherry Blossoms, for which Mt. Takao is well known. These are from
among the acrylic specimens encapsulating flowers at the symbolic exhibition at TAKAO 599 MUSEUM.We expressed
the beauty of fresh and organic flowers in a striking fashion by using the contrast of flowers with a sharp white packaging.
