Chinzanso 3-story Pagoda: Buddhist ceremony at the start of construction

This 3-story pagoda is a historic building that is recognized as a symbol of the Chinzanso gardens. NDC was responsible for art direction at the Buddhist ceremony which marked the start of construction for the large-scale renovations that took place in 2011 – 2012. The symbol mark utilizes the iconic triple roof of the pagoda as the motif, with a logotype that is beautiful and pure, and the commemorative booklet expressed the significance of the pagoda without the use of photographs. In each part, we sought the ideal point of contact between history and modern times, and used minimalist elements to highlight the beauty of the Chinzanso shape.
