Making Engineering More Intuitive

Since its debut, Toyota’s global mid-size sedan, the Camry, has garnered popularity on the global stage, extending beyond Japan to North America and beyond. In 2017, it underwent revolutionary advancement under Toyota’s structural reform in vehicle manufacturing, Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA).

The CAMRY Emotional Benefit Video was created as a symbol of this rebranding effort, showcasing the Camry’s beautiful styling and driving performance that has evolved into “a car that feels right through your sixth sense, beyond what numbers alone can express,” its class befitting the gold standard of sedans, and Toyota’s aim to achieve an overwhelming market share worldwide.

The concept is “The Second Genesis.” This video portrays the Camry’s dramatic evolution as a second creation story. We aimed to have viewers experience the reimagined appeal of this vehicle through pure intuition rather than through an engineering perspective, allowing them to feel the vehicle’s completely renewed charm just as it is.
