TOYOTA Calendar 2016
Reliving the “Fun to Drive” Experience

Toyota Motor Corporation’s automotive dealership network spans all of Japan. Every year, Toyota produces calendars for these dealerships to distribute to their customers. We at NDC were entrusted with creating the 2016 edition.
At the time, Toyota was promoting their “FUN TO DRIVE, AGAIN” campaign, emphasizing driving as an irreplaceable experience. We explored how to elevate this value through a calendar’s unique characteristics as a personal, narrative-driven medium that could forge an emotional connection with its viewers.
With the theme, “My New Feeling,” the calendar captures the essence of drives without a destination throughout the year through atmospheric photography and intimate, personal narratives. Beyond conveying the pure pleasure of being behind the wheel, each page invites viewers to discover new aspects of themselves and experience unexpected emotions along the journey.
Graphics
Based on the “My New Feeling” theme, the Toyota Motor 2016 calendar spins a story of a journey that takes place throughout the year. By portraying scenes and feelings from a personal perspective, it creates a world where each viewer can experience the enjoyment of driving as if he or she was the one behind the wheel.
