Tokyo Sea of Clouds

Founded in 1952 with the vision of creating a green oasis in Tokyo, Hotel Chinzanso began with its lush gardens at its heart. Today, the hotel delights visitors through what it calls the “Seven Seasons,” distinct periods of natural beauty that unfold throughout its grounds.

In 2020, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo unveiled “Tokyo Sea of Clouds,” an innovative atmospheric display that reveals new dimensions of these historic gardens. NDC produced promotional content to share this unique experience — where vast gardens become enveloped in clouds — with audiences worldwide.

Though artificial in nature, the display responds organically to wind and light, creating an almost natural phenomenon. Our film captures this essence through extensive drone footage, while careful eye-level camera work invites viewers to lose themselves in the ethereal atmosphere.
