The hand remembers
Windows for Quiet Encounters with Art

We designed the exhibition space for “The hand remembers," showcasing original drawings by French designer Ronan Bouroullec. Here, visitors experience artworks as if peering through windows—into an artist's studio or out toward distant landscapes.
Our inspiration came from a photograph in Ronan's portfolio. An image of sea through window resembled his framed artwork—this pleasing synchronicity sparked our concept.
In the venue, we built box rooms with square windows that envelop the four existing pillars. Though minimal in design, the views transform as you move—each window reveals different scenes within the same space. Windows within windows within windows. This sequence creates depth in the narrow gallery.
