Tamatsukuri Kindergarten
Bringing Children Closer to Nature

Tamatsukuri Kindergarten sits on ancient burial grounds where Jomon artifacts have been discovered. Its arch-framed building nestles into a wooded hill. The name “Tamatsukuri” comes from the area's history of crafting curved jewels as sacred offerings.
Our logo, inspired by these jewels, takes a form suggesting an elephant, moon, or flower, watching over children like a gentle spirit. Signs use only circles. For children too young to read, we included images of plants growing naturally on the grounds.
As the forest grows over decades, the architecture, visual identity, and signs will gradually merge with the surrounding greenery. By then, children and nature will have drawn closer, nurturing a rich relationship of coexistence.
