This is the global branding for Okamura, a leading office furniture brand from Japan.
While Okamura holds the number one market share in Japan, it remains relatively unknown worldwide. Despite expanding overseas more than 15 years ago, the company had yet to establish a significant presence. The greatest challenge was redefining Okamura as a brand with distinctive value and effectively communicating this across global markets.
We defined Okamura’s value in international markets as “To the last detail.” This positions their meticulous technology and thoughtfulness at the core of the brand's value — an attention to precision that extends to aspects of products and services that might go unnoticed. This essence is embodied through storytelling, visuals, video, and exhibitions. Additionally, we created brand guidelines that define the brand's values and establish expression rules to ensure the identity permeates worldwide.
