National Parks of Japan
A Landscape That Makes 35 Individual Parks Shine

Japan’s 35 national parks are invaluable protected areas, each with their own intrinsic natural environment and cultural heritage. They represent Japan’s rich natural landscapes that deserve global recognition and have been cherished by many people.
However, as each park had been operating under its own unique symbol, the brand value of the national park system as a whole became diluted, making it difficult to effectively convey their collective diversity and appeal.
To address this, we developed a unified symbol inspired by daybreak. The design features a ribbon-like frame that honors scenic locations, while standardized fonts and comprehensive signage design guidelines ensure consistent brand expression across all national parks throughout Japan.
Visual Identity
A unified symbol connecting Japan's national parks through the distinctly Japanese misty sky at sunrise. Outside the parks, full color vividly conveys each park's appeal, while inside, monochrome elements serve to enhance the natural beauty of the landscape.
