Where Business and People Connect

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is a financial holding company of the Mitsubishi Group that oversees Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, one of Japan's three mega-banks. It was formed in 2005 through the merger of Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group and UFJ Group.
The symbol was designed to embody “new comprehensive financial services created by consolidating the group’s collective strength” and “approachable services that create unity with customers.” It continues to symbolize the group’s vision today.
The overlapping circles represent the “rings” of people joining hands, expressing how customers and the enterprise connect to enrich and expand lives together. The red center symbolizes both Japan's presence on the world stage and the vitality that drives innovation in financial services.
