Everyone is a Creator
Featured Projects 2023 is a design festival launched in 2023, integrating multiple elements including markets, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and meetups.
The aim of Featured Projects is to create a space where creators from various fields can meet and interact, while drawing out the creativity of each individual present. For this inaugural event, we needed to communicate its vision and appeal to multiple audiences, including both visitors and staff.
We developed merchandise and cardboard signage centered around a key visual of splattered colorful paint. By recreating the feeling of stepping into a creator's “workshop,” we established a space that transcends the boundaries between staff, presenters, and visitors—a place where everyone wants to participate in making things.
Graphics
We designed key visuals that convey the passion of craftsmanship by combining Mugi Maeda's illustrations with color and typography. We selected items evocative of "workshops," such as duct tape and work shirts, developing them while maintaining typographic elements.
Signage
For signage, we used steel racks and cardboard boxes from the production workshop. We also designed installation systems that could be implemented with volunteer staff.
