In the entrance of the Nicolas G. Hayek Center, watches float in the air, in continuous motion. In actuality, the images of about 35 watches are projected onto the floor from the ceiling. On the ground, the images aren't in focus, but when you reach out your hand, the watch comes into perfect focus in your palm. At the moment when you recognize the unidentified dot of red light as a working watch, the sign has performed its duty, quickening surprise and suggesting, "watch".
