We received a request from KENZO PARFUMS in Paris for a perfume bottle made of white gold. I was struggling with another design at the same time, but in the end, I became fascinated with the story of using the same design for a Japanese sake and a French perfume. The fact that the Japanese client, Obusedo, also took an interest, led me to realize the idea. Recently, the scents of perfumes have been abstract, with no concrete scents of rose or citrus fruits. Therefore, the package is an object representative of the fragrance. That is, the mirrored container becomes a vessel ready to accept any image. This concept fits both sake and perfume. In 2010, the shape of this mirrored bottle showed up in the line of the glass bottle for KENZO POWER COLOGNE.
