By manipulating the ZA of Ginza and the ZA of Kabukiza to resonate visually, we created a logotype that allows the viewer to sense Ginza's distinctive art deco character. The symbol mark, intensely abstracted, was created by geometrically reducing the architecture of Kabukiza as viewed from Harumi Dori. By integrating the highrise Kabukiza Tower building, which stands behind the theater, as three bold stripes, we created a Kabuki-like dynamism. When Kabuki's pop presence is recorded as a simple graphic like this, tradition and future naturally unite.
