Book of Forest or Book in Existence Book of Forest or Book in Existence

The書・築 calligraphy-architecture exhibition involving creators from Japan, China and Korea, featured collaborative attempts by designers and architects to make an installation/book in order to explore a new world combining books and architecture. One of the pieces, by Kenya Hara and architect Sosuke Fujimoto, was "Book of Forest or Book in Existence". The text is written inside the glass block. This is a book that will never, ever be opened. The meaning of the text is not what is contained there, but the very fact of containment, or existence.
