A catalog was produced following the 2007 SENSEWARE exhibition. In 2009, thanks to the participation of seven major textile makers, we were able to assemble a portfolio of the most advanced textiles. Engendering cross-fertilization among the materials, creators, industry and researchers, this experiment to visualize the future of the textile industry provided much more enrichment than we had expected. In the Japan edition of this Japanese-English catalog, we also included photos from very lively Milano exhibition held prior to that in Tokyo. In 2011, a book combining the 2007 and 2009 Senseware catalogs will be available in simplified Chinese characters.
