Peninsula Kitchen

Tourism/Social

A peninsula features unique geography where villages and mountains are surrounded closely by ocean on three sides. “Peninsula Time” is a project which aims to communicate the indigenous riches of Japanese peninsulas to persons in Japan and overseas. The theme of the third exhibition was “food”. We visited and studied peninsulas across Japan, and designed a diverse range of foods including salt and chopsticks from the Izu Peninsula, saké and tofu from the Noto Peninsula, cookies from the Tsugaru Peninsula, and Yusempei rice crackers from the Shimabara Peninsula.
