Today, MUJI designs are acclaimed worldwide. At the 2005 International Forum Design Awards in Germany, five MUJI products won gold awards. For simple, basic products to receive such an accolade gave MUJI a huge boost in confidence. MUJI is all about design, and we are continually at work with designers around the world, seeking ways to improve. Those gold award-winning designs were key to our 2006 campaign, with the spotlight on products designed by people like Fukuzawa Naoto (product designer), Jasper Morrison (designer), Masahiro Mori (designer) and others. We wanted to remind our customers that MUJI's whole emergence and growth can be understood through any individual product.
