Since April 1999 we have been in charge of art direction for the monthly magazine, "A Book," published by Asahi Shimbun Newspaper. The cover features a single object and a simple layout. Each issue covers three months, making four issues a year. Our typesetting policy is to eradicate extra design as much as possible, so that readers will be quite unaware of the design. Our ideal is to produce a space like a particular living space that has no special furniture yet presents a clean, well-kept and serene appearance.
