The historical townscape of old storehouses and tiled roofs is an essential part of Obusedo’s character. As are chestnuts. Inspired by these influences, we selected two colors to represent Obusedo’s heritage, and set about the first update of its packaging in 30 years. The two colors are sumi (charcoal), chosen for its distinctive character, and kuri an (chestnut paste), chosen for its appetizing associations. The grape-vine arabesque is thinned out a little to make the vine pattern stand out. The resulting designs are appropriate for Obusedo’s next hundred nears.

Obukuri-bin is a product catalog produced twice a year to vividly depict Obusedo's chestnut confections. Each edition communicates the attractions of the Obuse area in the current season. the catalog is available at Obusedo outlets, and is sent to customers who have purchased Obusedo products.
