Hakkin Hakkin

This is the shape of the bottle that came out of a package design request from Obuse-do, in central Japan's Nagano Prefecture, for their Hakkin [Platinum] sake, for which they wanted us to use stainless steel. We crystallized the sake's identity with the label on the neck, made of hand-torn Japanese paper from Tokushima, on the island of Shikoku. I think that while the bottle reflects the surrounding environment like a mirror, the same reflective, mirror-like quality gives it a powerful individuality.
